8Fleet is a rapidly scaling ride-hail fleet operator building infrastructure for autonomous vehicle adoption. As Regional Operations Manager, you'll drive operational excellence across multiple markets in your region, reporting to the Regional GM and partnering closely with Market Managers.
You'll own regional performance management, translating company objectives into measurable market-level targets and execution plans. This includes maintaining comprehensive visibility into driver supply, fleet utilization, productivity, labor efficiency, safety, and financial performance. You'll identify emerging risks and opportunities before they impact the business and develop clear action plans with market leadership.
A core responsibility is building and continuously improving the operating infrastructure that manages a complex, distributed fleet operation at scale. You'll develop dashboards, reporting systems, forecasting tools, and automated workflows that give regional and market leadership real-time visibility. You'll identify manual or inefficient processes and design technology-enabled solutions that improve speed, accuracy, and management leverage.
You'll establish and maintain regional operating standards while allowing local teams to adapt execution to market-specific conditions. You'll identify best practices developed within individual markets and convert them into repeatable playbooks, SOPs, and tools deployable region-wide. You'll audit market operations to identify execution gaps and work directly with Market Managers on corrective action plans.
Workforce strategy is critical: you'll partner with Market Managers, Recruiting, Growth, and People teams to ensure sufficient driver supply meets fleet and revenue targets. You'll develop regional workforce planning models translating vehicle capacity and demand forecasts into hiring, scheduling, and retention requirements. You'll analyze driver utilization, availability, attendance, retention, and scheduling behavior to identify structural gaps and design programs that improve shift fulfillment, engagement, and retention.
You'll develop a regional view of fleet availability, utilization, downtime, and vehicle productivity, partnering with Fleet leadership to identify constraints preventing revenue generation. You'll lead high-priority regional initiatives requiring structured problem-solving and disciplined execution, support new market launches and stabilization, and develop launch playbooks and staffing models. You'll also partner with Safety and Compliance leadership to maintain consistent operational and regulatory standards, establish audit mechanisms, and analyze incidents to identify systemic root causes.
