As Regional IT Support Lead for APAC, you will be based in Singapore and lead a distributed team of five IT professionals across Singapore and Bengaluru. Your role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical management to elevate the IT support experience across all APAC offices.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Vision: Develop and execute short-term (1 year), medium-term (1-3 years), and long-term (3-5 years) support strategies aligned with global business goals. Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of 5 (2 hybrid engineers in Singapore, 1 support engineer in Singapore, 2 support engineers in Bengaluru). Set clear individual and team goals, delegate effectively, and drive performance using Adyen's leadership framework (Empower, Care, Act, Scale). Foster a global, inclusive, growth-oriented culture with open feedback.
Operational Excellence & Delivery: Deliver best-in-class support experience for APAC with high standards of technical resolution and internal customer service. Identify and execute automation opportunities to eliminate repetitive tasks and improve IT systems and workflows. Coordinate planning, scoping, and agile execution of support improvement projects while managing timelines and budgets. Make sound architectural and tooling decisions that align with broader business strategy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with regional senior management to translate business needs into actionable technical projects. Work seamlessly with Business Enablement, HR, Compliance, Procurement, and Workplace Experience teams. Maintain strong relationships with external vendors and partners. Navigate conflicting priorities and build trusted partnerships across time zones.
Requirements:
- 2-5+ years of people management and leadership experience in IT Support, technical support, engineering, or similar technical environment
- Proven ability to recruit top talent, manage performance, and develop team members through coaching and mentorship
- Strong business acumen and organizational awareness
- Deep administrative experience with cloud tools and identity providers (Google Workspace, Okta, Jamf, Slack)
- Robust experience managing macOS environments
- Hands-on knowledge of ticket management systems, data analysis, and scripting/automation
- Strong technical understanding of meeting room equipment (Logitech, Zoom Rooms), event spaces, and monitoring tools (Grafana)
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) with excellent communication skills
- Strong in-office presence required to foster team collaboration and manage distributed team across APAC
- Ability to work effectively across time zones
