LeoLabs is building a living map of activity in space through a proprietary global radar network and AI-enabled analytics platform. The company collects millions of measurements daily on over 25,000 objects in low Earth orbit (LEO) to help protect critical assets, characterize orbital activity, monitor emerging threats, and enable safer operations for commercial and government missions.
You will lead the continued development, commercialization, and growth of LeoLabs' transportable radar product—a space domain awareness offering that combines advanced radar sensing, software, data processing, and operational capabilities. This role sits at the intersection of customers, product strategy, radar technology, engineering, operations, deployment, and business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own the product and business strategy for the transportable radar product, including vision, roadmap, market positioning, prioritization, packaging, configurations, and execution
- Develop deep understanding of customers, users, missions, workflows, operational environments, procurement considerations, and buying behavior
- Work directly with commercial and government customers, operators, mission partners, and internal stakeholders to identify unmet needs and validate product opportunities
- Identify and prioritize market segments, mission areas, use cases, deployment models, and customer problems where the product can create meaningful impact and business growth
- Translate customer, mission, and business requirements into clear product requirements, system capabilities, configurations, and prioritized development work
- Partner closely with radar, hardware, software, systems, data, infrastructure, and operations teams throughout the product lifecycle
- Make product investment decisions based on customer value, strategic differentiation, revenue potential, sensor performance, technical feasibility, operational complexity, and scalability
- Define how product capabilities, configurations, service levels, and access models are packaged and positioned for clear customer understanding
The ideal candidate is a strong product thinker with both commercial and technical judgment, experience working in the space industry or closely related aerospace/national-security environment, comfort with complex hardware and software systems, and ability to translate customer missions and technical capabilities into clear product and business direction.
Note: This position is contingent upon final approval, with anticipated hiring timeline beginning as early as January 2027. ITAR eligibility required—candidates must be eligible to obtain authorizations from the U.S. Department of State for space technology export regulations.
