Classiq, a quantum computing software company, is establishing a new quantum computing center in Italy and seeking its first on-site hire to lead day-to-day operations. You will serve as the local technical and operational point of contact for the center's users, bridging Classiq's platform with enterprise and research customers in the region.
Key responsibilities include delivering hands-on onboarding and training on the Classiq platform to researchers, engineers, and end users in Italian; providing first-line technical support and troubleshooting; implementing quantum applications collaboratively with local enterprise customers; and managing center operations including user and license management, hardware/resource access allocation, and workspace setup. You'll represent the center to visiting customers and partners through demos and walkthroughs, build strong relationships with partner teams, and surface field insights back to Classiq headquarters.
As an early founding member, you'll have real autonomy to shape how the center operates and grows, including helping establish workflows, equipment, and infrastructure as the team expands.
Required qualifications: Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering with strong focus on quantum computing or quantum information; prior experience in technical customer support, training delivery, or platform/site operations; ability to learn and explain complex technical concepts to non-expert audiences; demonstrated independence and project ownership; fluent/native Italian with strong English for global collaboration; based in or willing to relocate to Naples.
Bonus experience includes Python or scientific/technical computing, HPC or specialized hardware environments, and prior experience opening or standing up technical sites as an early team member.
