Salary: USD 71,000 - 119,000 / annual
Neuralink is seeking a Quality Systems Engineer to join the Quality Systems Team in Austin, Texas. The company develops brain-computer interface devices designed to restore movement to the paralyzed, restore sight to the blind, and revolutionize human-digital interaction.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing processes that embed compliance into their design from inception. Your primary focus will be gathering requirements, designing efficient systems, and continuously improving them to reduce variables, save time, and lower costs while facilitating rapid iteration and innovation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing quantifiable metrics and dashboards (Excel, Grafana, Google Sheets, or similar tools) to track process performance in real-time
- Driving process improvements that enhance systemic compliance and quality standards through creative problem-solving
- Managing deviations and audit findings, tracking their resolution, and coordinating timely closure of corrective actions
- Owning subsets of Quality Systems required under ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 regulations, including Training Management Systems, Document & Change Control, CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and Deviation Management
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, demonstrated ability to develop and optimize processes for efficiency and compliance, understanding of engineering fundamentals, proficiency in basic coding and querying, strong analytical skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a mindset oriented toward continuous improvement and problem-solving.
Preferred qualifications include background in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering, 1-3 years of Quality Systems experience, experience with Operational Excellence projects, and familiarity with Six Sigma principles.
