Anduril Industries is a defense technology company building cutting-edge autonomous systems and AI-powered military capabilities. This Quality Specialist role is based at Arsenal-1, Anduril's hyperscale manufacturing facility in Ashville, Ohio, which produces the Roadrunner—a VTOL counter-UAS interceptor for autonomous air defense.
The role is part of the Roadrunner Launch Team (RLT), which will establish manufacturing excellence standards at Arsenal-1. Selected candidates will complete a 3-month training program at Anduril's Costa Mesa, CA headquarters (with housing and transportation provided) before returning to Ohio to lead quality operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the Materials Review Board (MRB) process and non-conforming material disposition
- Conducting incoming material, in-process, and end-of-line inspections
- Partnering with Supplier Quality Engineering to support vendor quality control
- Performing root cause analysis and managing rework operations
- Creating and executing inspection plans; training technicians and inspectors
- Coordinating First Article Inspection (FAI) verification and supplier acceptance
- Ensuring accurate data collection and communicating quality performance to stakeholders
- Developing quality assurance policies and continuous improvement initiatives
- Managing quality containment for material, tooling, and equipment involved in non-conformances
- Staying current with inspection technologies and recommending process improvements
This is a hands-on quality operations role in a fast-paced, mission-critical manufacturing environment focused on rebuilding America's defense industrial base.
