Volta is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform building compute utilities at scale. The Quality Manager (Central Function) leads quality assurance across Volta's entire fleet of data center and AI infrastructure facilities, from vendor management and site inspection through commissioning and operational readiness.
You will own Volta's quality strategy, standards, and management systems across all projects globally. This is a functional leadership role where you manage quality leads embedded in each project team, setting the standards and assurance programs they work to. Key responsibilities include: establishing inspection and test plan standards across major equipment packages; building vendor quality and factory surveillance programs for critical equipment; managing non-conformance and driving root-cause resolution across the fleet; setting quality standards that underpin multi-level commissioning processes; conducting quality audits and assurance reviews at active sites; and embedding right-first-time practices with cross-project learning.
You will work closely with safety, commissioning, and the DSX (Data Systems eXecution) team. The role requires regular travel across European sites to maintain oversight and credibility with projects and contractors.
This is a high-impact role in a rapidly scaling company (100+ people growing to hundreds) backed by a $10B strategic partnership with a leading AI lab, Series A funding from Andreessen Horowitz, and a $5B AI Infrastructure Fund. You'll be instrumental in making Volta's repeatable delivery model work at scale.
