Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead production quality control operations at their Costa Mesa facility. This role manages multiple supervisors, leads, and inspectors responsible for ensuring quality controls meet organizational standards across incoming material inspection, in-process inspection, end-of-line inspection, and material containment operations. Key responsibilities include: establishing and maintaining quality control standards with consistent staff training; managing the quality control resource plan including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and performance management; ensuring employees are trained and qualified on work instructions and procedures with documented training records; developing performance management dashboards and quality insights through data analysis and production priority meetings; driving quality process improvements and investment in manufacturing execution systems (MES) and quality management systems (QMS); collaborating with product quality engineers and manufacturing engineers on inspection plans and new product introductions; utilizing Lean principles to improve KPIs such as on-time delivery and product quality; and fostering a safety-first culture with expedited resolution of safety issues. The role requires partnership across the organization with heads of production, product quality engineers, manufacturing engineers, and production teams to prioritize process and product quality issues. You will be accountable for labor, process execution, continuous improvement, and advocating quality behaviors across production functions. This position bridges both product quality issues and process efficiency concerns impacting quality control operations. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field; 5+ years of quality and/or regulatory experience within the aerospace industry; 3+ years of management experience. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, technical quality expertise, and experience in defense or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
