The company serves critical verticals including aerospace and defense, electrification, medical, energy and environment, and robotics and automation.
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will ensure and improve compliance to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality standards across manufacturing operations. You'll bring 3–6 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment, with proficiency in Lean Six Sigma tools and a data-driven problem-solving approach.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as the quality engineering representative on new product development teams, providing strategic quality representation across functions
- Develop, implement, and evaluate tools, systems, and methods for product and process improvement
- Apply Lean/Six Sigma principles to identify and implement improvements that decrease variability, improve yield, increase capacity, and reduce lead time
- Perform root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventative action initiatives
- Develop product inspection techniques, documentation, and perform inspections as needed
- Develop and interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts with reaction plans that drive problem solving
- Train operators on inspection techniques, requirements, and documentation
- Utilize statistical tools to analyze data and provide regular quality metrics to the organization
- Collaborate between suppliers, customers, development, and production teams to ensure quality is built into manual and automated processes
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data trends to eliminate redundant processes and improve existing ones to minimize rework and scrap
- Audit supplier, manufacturing, and business processes to ensure compliance with standards
- Identify and support quality test methods, inspection criteria, and risk assessments for new products to ensure regulatory compliance
You communicate clearly with diverse audiences, standardize processes across departments and shifts, and bring a strong moral compass to ensure the right outcomes for internal and external customers alike.
