Salary: USD 70,000 - 90,000 / annual
Pie Insurance is seeking a Quality and Training Analyst to support operational excellence across underwriting, audit, and customer service departments. Reporting to the Manager of Quality & Training, you will be responsible for executing quality audit programs, developing and delivering training content, and maintaining documentation and governance infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting individual file audits to ensure consistent application of Pie's policies, procedures, and guidelines across multiple operational departments
- Gathering and analyzing data from quality reviews to identify trends and coaching opportunities
- Promoting quality awareness and adherence to procedures through training and guidance
- Assisting in the facilitation and presentation of trainings across departments
- Coordinating and participating in quality meetings, consistency checks, and calibration sessions
- Supporting LOA (Levels of Authority) framework documentation, including mapping authority levels and coordinating updates with operational stakeholders
- Providing guidance to underwriting, audit, and customer service team members to help them become self-sufficient and subject matter experts
- Participating in process improvement teams and projects to drive operational improvements
- Ensuring new procedures and systems are properly adopted by departments
You will apply integrative thinking to solve underlying needs, determine trends, and develop targeted training interventions. This role requires managing work across multiple departments while handling shifting priorities simultaneously.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3+ years of related professional experience in insurance quality analysis, underwriting, or premium audit roles
- Comprehensive knowledge of workers' compensation in multiple states and general insurance knowledge
- Strong attention to detail with ability to review files accurately and consistently across high volumes
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including ability to document findings and provide constructive feedback
- Comfort managing work across multiple departments with shifting priorities
- Experience with project management or workflow tools (Jira) and documentation platforms (Confluence) preferred
- Experience communicating via internal chat platforms (Slack or Teams) preferred
