Yassir is a leading super app in the Maghreb region operating in 45+ cities across Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, France, Canada, and Sub-Saharan Africa. The company provides on-demand services including ride-hailing and last-mile delivery, and is now expanding into financial services with digital payment solutions, wallets, and lending products. Backed by ~$200M in funding from Silicon Valley and European VCs, Yassir is building infrastructure to bring digital financial services to the African continent.
The QA Manager will lead the quality assurance strategy for Yassir's financial services products, ensuring payment systems, digital wallets, and fintech solutions are secure, compliant, and high-performing. This role manages multiple QA resources across manual and automated testing streams in a fast-paced fintech environment focused on globally deployed digital payment platforms.
Key responsibilities include: owning end-to-end testing strategy (test planning, execution, defect management, release sign-off) for critical financial applications; handling production issues through log analysis and root-cause investigation in collaboration with engineering and product teams; driving automation strategy while remaining hands-on with both manual and automated testing; implementing and maintaining test automation frameworks using Robot Framework and Java with Rest Assured for API/backend testing; performing in-depth API testing, validation, and production log debugging to ensure system stability, performance, and data integrity; building and mentoring a high-performing QA team with focus on automation ROI; and continuously improving testing processes, coverage, and standards to support scalable, reliable, and secure financial systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of QA experience, with at least 3 years in fintech or financial services QA leadership
- Proven expertise in test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and secure QA practices
- Strong knowledge of payment systems, transaction flows, and financial APIs
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, and TestNG
- Familiarity with fintech compliance frameworks
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Excellent English communication skills; ability to work in multicultural teams
