Alkira is seeking a QA Manager to lead its QA & Automation team, which serves as the quality gate for every product release. The team owns an in-house automated test framework built on Python, Terraform, and Jenkins that runs large-scale regression suites continuously across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI. Beyond release validation, the team builds scaling and performance tests to prove the platform handles customer growth and develops Terraform-driven deployment automation for large customer onboardings. In this hands-on technical leadership role, you will set QA strategy, drive automation and test coverage, establish quality standards, and partner closely with Engineering and Product to ensure releases meet high reliability standards. You'll lead and develop the QA & Automation team across multiple geographies, providing technical direction, mentorship, prioritization, and career development. Key responsibilities include owning the overall QA strategy for Alkira's networking platform (functional, integration, regression, negative, performance, and scale testing); designing and automating test coverage for new features across all supported clouds; maintaining and extending the automated test framework and CI infrastructure; building and running scaling/performance test campaigns; developing Terraform-based deployment automation for customer onboardings; gating releases by triaging failures and signing off on release quality; and coordinating execution with distributed team members. The role includes mandatory on-call rotation covering release-validation windows and test infrastructure availability. Required qualifications: strong Python programming for test automation and framework development; hands-on experience with Terraform and CI systems (Jenkins or equivalent); working knowledge of public cloud networking constructs (VPC/VNet, routing, peering) in AWS, Azure, or GCP; networking fundamentals (BGP, IPsec/VPN, routing, firewall/NAT); systematic debugging and triage skills; and experience designing test plans for complex distributed systems including negative and scale testing. Nice-to-have skills include performance/scale testing experience, experience testing networking or security products, and exposure to building or operating test labs or ephemeral cloud test environments.
