Discord's Public Policy team is seeking a Public Affairs Advisor to help lead the company's external engagement strategy with policymakers, regulators, civil society organizations, academics, and industry partners globally. This role reports to the Head of Public Policy, Americas.
You will shape and execute Discord's global external affairs strategy, building lasting partnerships that strengthen the company's relationships and reputation with key stakeholders. Your responsibilities include managing a portfolio of strategic partnerships aligned with policy and business objectives, measuring partnership impact and reporting outcomes to leadership, and owning Discord's headquarters visit program for government officials and other key stakeholders.

Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma counties), with relocation assistance potentially available.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in public policy, public affairs, and/or civil society partnerships
- Experience owning and executing a multi-year public affairs or partnership program
- Experience building and managing partnerships with civil society, academic experts, and industry leaders across multiple regions
- Track record of planning and executing high-level visits, delegations, or events for senior government officials and executives
- Familiarity with technology policy issues
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, especially for executive briefings, with ability to translate complex technical information into clear narratives
- Strong project management skills and judgment to manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and deadlines
