Veeva Systems, a mission-driven public benefit corporation and pioneer in industry cloud for life sciences, is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to drive winning responses for their innovative solutions across Europe. This role is critical to the Veeva Europe Sales organization, where you will project manage the end-to-end proposal lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional experts to craft compelling narratives and responses to RFP/RFI questionnaires that resonate with European and global customers.
You will own all RFP/RFI activities from initial receipt through final submission, utilizing enterprise tools like Responsive to ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables. Key responsibilities include effectively coordinating contributions from Sales, Solution Consulting, Professional Services, Product, Strategy, and IT Security teams to develop winning responses. You'll lead internal response team alignment calls and checkpoint discussions to understand customer needs, confirm scope, identify key differentiators, and guide team assignments and timelines.
Your day-to-day work involves drafting response deliverables, managing project workflows, and conducting thorough quality checks—including formatting, proofreading, and editing—to ensure accuracy, clarity, compliance, and a polished appearance. You'll handle multiple concurrent proposal assignments and team projects while consistently meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Required qualifications include 5+ years managing complex RFP/RFI proposals in B2B SaaS technology, strong written and oral English communication, a bachelor's degree or equivalent, international business experience, and expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Word Styles knowledge. An ownership mindset and flexibility to support global operations across diverse time zones are essential.
Nice-to-have skills include experience with RFP/Strategic Response Management tools (Responsive, Qvidian, Loopio), life sciences proposal background, APMP Foundation Certification, and fluency in European languages (Spanish, German, Italian, French).
