Impulse Space is seeking a Proposal Manager to lead the development and execution of high-quality proposals for competitive US Government programs. This is a technical role that bridges Business Development with Engineering, Finance, Legal, Mission Management, and other cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary contributor to writing and editing technical proposals
- Own the proposal process end-to-end, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and streamlining
- Read, understand, and synthesize complex technical requirements from customer opportunity documents
- Break down proposal efforts into discrete tasks and coordinate inputs from technical experts across the company
- Develop and maintain proposal schedules and timelines
- Create and refine supporting graphics and materials
- Edit proposals for clarity, accuracy, and compliance with submission requirements
- Maintain and expand the repository of reusable proposal content and templates
- Support other teams with technical writing, editing, and communication needs (e.g., white papers)
This role requires strong technical literacy, project management discipline, and the ability to translate complex engineering concepts into clear, persuasive written communication for government evaluators.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or related discipline
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience as a writer and/or editor
- 2+ years of experience publishing professional documents
- Ability to communicate technical material clearly and professionally
- Proficiency with planning and managing schedules
