The Nuclear Company is a Series A AI-enabled startup pioneering fleet-scale nuclear reactor development through a design-once, build-many model. The Project Procurement Manager leads procurement execution for assigned nuclear Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects within the Procurement & Supply Chain organization.
This role owns the project procurement plan and translates enterprise sourcing strategies into day-to-day purchasing activity. Key responsibilities include managing the full requisition-to-delivery lifecycle, developing and maintaining project procurement schedules aligned with engineering releases and required-on-site dates, and applying enterprise category strategies and framework agreements to project purchases.
The manager proactively expedites long-lead nuclear equipment and critical components to protect engineering and construction schedules. This includes tracking order status against milestones, identifying delivery and quality risks, driving corrective actions, and coordinating logistics, inspections, and material receipt. The role serves as the project's primary procurement interface, resolving supplier and delivery issues while escalating delays and performance concerns to project and functional leadership.
All purchases must meet applicable nuclear quality, regulatory, and documentation requirements. The manager works closely with Category Management and project leadership to meet schedule, budget, and delivery priorities. The company operates with an AI-first mindset, expecting employees to leverage AI and the Nuclear Operating System (NOS) to improve quality, speed, and impact of work.
