The Project Manager role oversees the completion of power systems testing and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with all safety and legal requirements while delivering on time, within scope, and within budget. This position includes supervisory responsibilities over Field Service Technicians with limited authority.
Key responsibilities include:
**Project Oversight:** Oversee project completion, ensuring smooth execution and compliance with safety and legal requirements. Develop thorough understanding of each project to monitor budget, progress, and deliverables.
**Resource Management:** Select and track equipment needed for projects. Select, track, and monitor the conduct of employees assigned to projects.
**Risk Management:** Establish risk factors, develop mitigation strategies, and eliminate identified risks to ensure project success.
**Communication and Collaboration:** Communicate effectively with customers, operations, and project teams. Work closely with operations to ensure correct project execution. Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports in a timely manner.
The role requires working at assigned project sites at least 50% of the time and the ability to work after hours as needed. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, wearing PPE including arc-flash suits, safety glasses, hard hats, respirators, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots. The position involves potential exposure to dirt, heat, fumes, smoke, water, noise, vibration, grease, oil, and dust.
**Requirements:**
- Associate's degree, trade or technical school certificate/diploma, or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Any project management certificate preferred
- 1-3 years of relevant project management experience
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies with proficiency in project management software
- Excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinking with ability to align projects with broader organizational goals
- Adaptable and able to manage shifting priorities in dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Must pass background/MVR check, pre-employment drug test, and post-accident/reasonable suspicion/random drug testing
- Ability and willingness to work after hours as needed
- Ability to walk, stand, climb, pull, push, sit, and work in cramped or confined spaces
