PowerX is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the completion of electrical testing and power infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for ensuring projects comply with all safety and legal requirements, are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight: Oversee project completion, ensuring smooth execution and compliance with safety and legal requirements. Gain thorough understanding of project scope to monitor budget, progress, and deliverables.
Resource Management: Select and track equipment needed for projects. Select, track, and monitor employees assigned to projects, including Field Service Technicians under limited supervisory authority.
Risk Management: Establish risk factors, develop mitigation strategies, and eliminate identified risks to ensure project success.
Communication & Collaboration: Communicate effectively with customers, operations, and project teams. Work closely with operations to ensure correct project execution. Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports in a timely manner.
Additional responsibilities as needed to support organizational goals and adapt to evolving business needs.
The role requires working at assigned project sites at least 50% of the time. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, wearing required PPE (arc-flash suit, safety glasses, hard hat, respirator, hearing protection, steel-toed boots), and ability to work in various conditions including dirt, heat, fumes, smoke, water, noise, vibration, grease, oil, and dust. Must be willing to work after hours as needed.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree, trade/technical school certificate/diploma, or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Project management certificate preferred
- 1-3 years of relevant project management experience
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and proficiency in project management software
- Excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinking with ability to align projects with organizational goals
- Adaptable and able to manage shifting priorities in dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Must pass background check, MVR check, and pre-employment drug test
- Must be willing to work after hours as needed
