Isar Aerospace is seeking a Project Manager Commercial to lead and advance institutional bids and projects with European Space Agency (ESA), European Commission (EC), German Aerospace Center (DLR), and other governmental institutions. This role is central to managing the company's institutional funding pipeline and ensuring successful project execution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading institutional bids from ESA, DLR, EC, and other governmental bodies
- Managing institutional projects with external stakeholders from conception through delivery
- Ensuring tender deadlines and project milestones are met according to plan
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Performing concept studies and trade-off analyses to optimize project outcomes
- Communicating effectively with internal project contributors and external stakeholders
- Creating and managing high-quality project and technical documentation to ESA standards and beyond, ensuring future grant and project involvement
The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field, with technical affinity and pronounced understanding of rocketry. You should have proven work experience as a bid manager or project manager, preferably with external institutional stakeholders. Proficiency in MS Office applications is required. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects are essential. German language skills are a plus for working with DLR and other local institutions.
