Infleqtion is a global quantum technology company developing quantum computers, sensors, and networks to solve complex problems. The Project Manager will coordinate people and processes to deliver projects on time and within scope for Infleqtion's UK operations based in Kidlington, Oxford.
Key responsibilities include translating business requirements into actionable project plans with clear deliverables and milestones; coordinating internal resources, external partners, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery; maintaining on-time, on-scope, and on-budget execution; developing detailed project scopes and objectives with stakeholder involvement; ensuring appropriate resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle; tracking progress with detailed plans; managing changes to scope, schedule, and costs; executing projects according to Infleqtion's Product Lifecycle; measuring performance using appropriate systems and tools; providing regular reporting and escalating risks/issues to management; building and maintaining relationships with customers and stakeholders; performing proactive risk management; establishing vendor relationships; creating comprehensive project documentation; and leading project reviews with customers and leadership.
Required qualifications include a minimum of five years' experience managing technical, engineering, or research projects; a degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or another STEM discipline (preferred); excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools; APM/PRINCE II certification or equivalent project management qualification; excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple complex tasks; strong verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences; and strong collaboration and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable qualifications include a strong technical background with knowledge of or experience in the quantum technology sector and experience managing government-funded R&D programmes (Innovate UK, ESA, Horizon Europe). Up to 10% travel, including international travel, may be required. The role is full-time, hybrid, with work-from-home permitted up to 2 days per week based on business needs and manager approval. The position involves office and laboratory environments with standard office equipment use and physical requirements including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and carrying up to 10 kg.
