ICON is seeking a Project Engineer to support its Design-Build team on MILCON (military construction) projects. This role serves as the primary liaison between ICON's design, engineering, and field operations teams during construction, ensuring seamless coordination and information flow. Key responsibilities include acting as the conduit between design and construction teams to align technical information and construction priorities; managing RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications; coordinating with Design, Structural, MEP, and Print Operations teams to ensure constructability of ICON's 3D-printed building systems; tracking design revisions and distributing updated documents; maintaining organized project documentation in Procore, Smartsheet, and other systems; supporting project budgeting and cost tracking; preparing project reports and management tools; updating project schedules; assisting field teams with drawing interpretation and quality verification; identifying constructability challenges; facilitating communication between internal and external stakeholders; and supporting project closeout with as-built documentation. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field with 5+ years of experience on design-build or general contracting projects. Required skills include strong understanding of construction drawings and technical coordination, demonstrated ability to manage project information workflows and document control systems (Procore, Smartsheet, Bluebeam), excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational skills, and fundamental understanding of construction cost management. Preferred experience includes prior work with design-build or self-performing contractors, familiarity with 3D-printed or advanced construction technologies, working knowledge of scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet), and exposure to building systems coordination (MEP, structural, civil).
