OpenAI's Marketing team is seeking a Program Manager Lead to own end-to-end program execution for the Hardware team's integrated marketing initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of creative, production, brand marketing, and resource management, responsible for translating strategic direction into clear, executable program plans.
You will serve as the operating spine for complex creative programs, providing clarity across goals, roadmaps, ownership, decisions, dependencies, resources, and risks. Key responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end execution for integrated Hardware marketing campaigns, launches, brand initiatives, content, social, digital, experiential, OOH, growth, and e-commerce programs.
- Partner with Brand Marketing to translate strategy and GTM priorities into detailed program roadmaps with milestones, ownership, dependencies, and escalation paths.
- Build and maintain program plans, workbacks, operating models, and tracking systems that give teams visibility into priorities, progress, resources, risks, and decisions.
- Lead the program operating rhythm through kickoffs, status updates, creative reviews, and leadership forums, ensuring decisions are documented and translated into action.
- Coordinate cross-functional execution across marketing, creative, production, agencies, legal, policy, media, and regional teams, managing dependencies and handoffs.
- Partner with Creative Operations and Resource Management to forecast capacity, maintain allocation views, and address resource gaps before they become delivery risks.
- Anticipate and surface blockers, resource constraints, timeline pressure, budget implications, and dependency conflicts early with clear options and recommendations.
- Maintain horizontal visibility across active work so teams and leadership have clear views of program health, priorities, risks, and resources.
- Own launch readiness, ensuring creative, production, localization, review, and stakeholder dependencies are aligned for delivery.
- Drive program closeout, capturing outcomes, learnings, and process improvements.
- Build lightweight, scalable ways of working that improve visibility and delivery without unnecessary process overhead.
Ideal candidates bring 12+ years of program management, creative operations, agency operations, or integrated creative delivery experience. You should have managed complex creative or marketing programs spanning campaigns, launches, content, and brand work. You understand how strategic work moves from planning through creative development, production, and launch, and where complex programs typically encounter friction. You're highly organized, can turn ambiguity into practical roadmaps, and communicate clearly with senior creatives, marketers, producers, agencies, and cross-functional stakeholders. You operate with strong discretion around sensitive launches, staffing, budgets, and strategy. Fluency with Google Workspace, Slack, Figma, Airtable, Monday.com, Asana, and similar project management tools is expected.
