Voyager Technologies is seeking a Program Manager IV to lead defense and national security programs in the aerospace sector. This role reports to the Director of Advanced Technology Programs within the Science & Technologies department and is based in Reno, NV (hybrid/onsite).
You will manage all phases of program execution for complex defense and space technology initiatives, including development of program management documentation, monthly status reports, PDR/CDR materials, and presentations to technical teams, management, subcontractors, and government customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, directing, and monitoring projects to maintain scope, schedule, and budget; owning project-level P&L
- Defining, generating, and reviewing program management materials and deliverables
- Ensuring availability of required resources (engineering, manpower, production, facilities)
- Providing direction to project staff on budgeting and program execution
- Identifying and proactively escalating program risks and issues
- Serving as primary customer contact and pursuing follow-on business opportunities
- Ensuring adherence to internal program management processes
- Participating in customer meetings, peer reviews, and problem-solving sessions
- Contributing to proposal development for follow-on work
- Traveling up to 25% to customer locations
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 15+ years of program management experience, including 10+ years managing DOD propulsion-related programs
- Direct experience generating, managing, and owning Integrated Master Schedules, Integrated Master Plans, and Earned Value Management systems
- Experience managing large subcontracts
- Experience managing programs for U.S. Government customers
Preferred qualifications include Master's degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering, management of rocket propulsion defense system programs, Missile Defense Agency program experience with MAP/PMAP requirements, and executive briefing experience.
Required skills: multitasking in collaborative environments, excellent verbal and written communication, quick problem-solving, proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Project, and preferred experience with Integrated Program Management Tools and solid rocket motor design.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
