Voyager Technologies is seeking a Program Manager III to lead all phases of aerospace and defense program execution. This role reports to the Director of Advanced Technology Programs within the Science & Technologies department and is based in Reno, NV (hybrid/onsite).
Key Responsibilities:
- Plans, directs, and monitors projects to ensure scope, schedule, and budget alignment; owns project-level P&L
- Develops and reviews all program management documentation including monthly status reports, PDR/CDR materials, Integrated Master Schedules, and Integrated Master Plans
- Ensures availability of required resources (engineering, manpower, production, facilities)
- Provides direction to project staff on budgeting and program execution
- Monitors program deliverables and ensures customer satisfaction
- Identifies and escalates program risks and issues proactively
- Serves as primary customer contact and participates in customer meetings, peer reviews, and problem-solving sessions
- Manages large subcontracts and ensures adherence to internal program management processes
- Contributes to proposal development for follow-on work
- Travels up to 25% to customer locations
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of program management experience, including 7+ years managing DOD propulsion-related programs
- Direct experience with Integrated Master Schedules, Integrated Master Plans, and Earned Value Management
- Experience managing large subcontracts
- Experience managing programs for U.S. Government customers
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- Rocket propulsion defense system program management
- Missile Defense Agency program experience with MAP/PMAP requirements
- Executive briefing experience
- Solid rocket motor design knowledge
Skills: Multi-tasking in collaborative environments, excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Integrated Program Management Tools experience.
