Salary: USD 145,000 - 180,000 / annual
Skydio is seeking a customer-facing Program Manager to lead implementation and delivery for Law Enforcement customers, specifically serving as the primary liaison with the Chicago Police Department. This role sits within the Mission Success team and owns all aspects of contract success including project planning, technical execution, risk management, budget management, performance improvements, and scheduling.
You will translate law enforcement customer requirements into actionable plans for Skydio's product and engineering teams, ensuring alignment on milestones and deliverables. The role requires deep technical understanding of autonomous drone systems and the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder programs in a fast-paced environment. You will establish and maintain relationships with senior law enforcement officials, manage production programs against cost and schedule constraints, and communicate program risks and opportunities to internal and external leadership.
Key responsibilities include designing end-to-end project deployment and integration activities, managing implementation programs against technical requirements, interfacing with engineering teams to meet customer milestones, and supporting go-to-market activities. You will work collaboratively across Customer Success, Technical Support, Product, Marketing, Development, and Engineering teams.
Ideal candidates bring experience as a customer-facing program manager or professional services lead, preferably with law enforcement or federal government background. You should have a proven track record implementing new technology, working with agile development teams, and managing large-scale customer projects. Experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), federal program management, systems design, acquisition planning, and budget planning is highly valued. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and comfort with data analytics are essential. FAA Part 107 certification is strongly encouraged within the first 60 days and required for certain positions. This is an in-office role based in Chicago, IL.
