Salary: USD 164,800 - 206,000 / annual
Scale AI is seeking a Program Manager for Compliance to drive the maturation and operationalization of the company's enterprise compliance program. Reporting to the Director & Associate General Counsel for Compliance, you will be a hands-on builder responsible for turning compliance policy into practice across anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC), gifts and entertainment, conflicts of interest, third-party risk and sanctions, policy lifecycle, and company-wide training.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, build, and streamline Scale's core compliance programs, including ABAC, gifts and entertainment, conflicts of interest, and third-party risk and sanctions screening
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Commercial, Public Sector, and international business lines to improve compliance policies, processes, and procedures
- Monitor regulatory developments relevant to Scale's business and translate them into concrete policy and process changes
- Track compliance obligations flowing from customer contracts
- Partner with leadership to build and operationalize the company's enterprise risk management (ERM) framework
- Develop metrics and periodic reporting to provide Legal & GRC leadership visibility into program health
- Support audit and assurance work during peak certification periods
- Own inbound customer and investor compliance diligence questionnaires
- Work closely with Legal, Procurement, Finance, Security, and go-to-market teams
Ideal candidates will have 5+ years building or operating ethics and compliance programs in-house, with hands-on ownership of ABAC and experience in at least one additional compliance domain. You should have a track record of building policies, processes, and controls from scratch and successfully implementing them. Strong project management, analytical, and process improvement skills are essential. Nice-to-haves include familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, GRC tooling, third-party risk management systems, CCEP certification, international compliance experience, and U.S. Government Security Clearance.
