Bobyard automates construction takeoffs and estimates using AI, enabling contractors to generate bids 10x faster. The company is Series A-backed by 8VC, Primary, and Pear, and is rapidly shipping new features and trades.
As Program Manager, you'll own the operational backbone of the product team's execution. The role sits between engineering and customer-facing teams (sales, customer success, marketing), ensuring that shipped work is actually complete, verified, and properly communicated.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining Linear as the single source of truth for all product work, ensuring tickets have accurate status and nothing slips past target dates
- Independently verifying that bugs marked "fixed" are genuinely resolved before closure or customer communication
- Writing and distributing clear, honest launch communications to customers and internal teams—technical for engineers, plain-language for non-technical audiences
- Building and running a standardized launch checklist to ensure marketing and CS are looped in before releases, not after
- Coordinating directly with platform engineers on active projects, staying embedded in tickets rather than relying on summaries
- Flagging risks and slippage early within the product team's existing weekly cadence
- Serving as the first point of contact when customer-reported issues conflict with engineer assessments
You'll need 2–5 years in a role combining technical coordination with customer communication—such as implementation, CS ops, QA, or release coordination. Daily fluency with Linear or Jira is required. You must be comfortable writing for multiple audiences and pushing back diplomatically on engineering claims without creating friction. You should genuinely enjoy verification and follow-through, maintaining focus on completion rather than just progress.
The role is based in San Francisco at 101 2nd Street and requires on-site presence with the team. Relocation support is available for candidates outside the Bay Area.
