Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Production Test Engineering Manager to lead the manufacturing test engineering team for electromagnetic warfare (EW) hardware. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on technical leadership, managing production test systems that support high-volume defense products powered by Lattice OS.
You will direct a manufacturing test engineering team, setting objectives and assessing outcomes while ensuring rigorous testing protocols deliver superior quality products. Key responsibilities include overseeing manufacturing test strategy across multiple products, collaborating with product and development engineering teams on design testability, and strategizing advancements in test automation and operational efficiency.
The role demands expertise in transitioning products from pre-production (LRIP) through full-scale manufacturing (FRP), maintaining test capabilities across system-level checkouts, acceptance testing, and component-level validation. You'll evaluate test data to identify product and process improvements, lead procurement and implementation of new test equipment with ROI analysis, and champion initiatives that enhance safety, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
Required qualifications include 8+ years in manufacturing test and product sustainment, a bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics, computer, or mechanical engineering, and minimum 2+ years managing manufacturing test engineering teams. Technical expertise needed in test automation (Linux, C#, Python, LabView), computer hardware communication protocols (USB, Ethernet, RS232, RS485, PCIe, HDMI, CAN), PCBA/electronic assembly testing, and familiarity with TES, PLM, MES, and ERP systems. You must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include demonstrated leadership in developing manufacturing test systems, proficiency in LabVIEW and MATLAB, knowledge of PCBA and mechanical design, and experience designing HASS and ESS-related tests (thermal, vibration). Familiarity with AI tools is a plus.
