dcbel Inc. is a clean energy hardware and software company developing residential energy solutions, including the dcbel Home Energy Station—a wall-mounted device enabling homeowners to harness solar power, charge EVs, and optimize energy flow between solar panels, batteries, and the grid. We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations at our New Product Introduction (NPI) facility. You will oversee assembly, testing, packaging, and shipment of dcbel products while maintaining safety, quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery. This role is critical to scaling production and establishing the manufacturing foundation for innovative energy solutions. Key responsibilities include: - Lead daily production operations (assembly, testing, inspection, packaging, shipment) while meeting safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets - Execute production plans and coordinate resources across Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Engineering - Build and supervise a high-performing manufacturing team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement - Drive production ramp-up, identify bottlenecks, and support capacity planning for scalable growth - Oversee mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical assembly processes; optimize workstation layouts and cycle times - Manage testing and validation (HiPot, functional testing, burn-in, final release) with accurate documentation - Monitor and improve manufacturing KPIs (production attainment, first-pass yield, defect rates, throughput, NCRs) - Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, standard work, waste reduction, poka-yoke) - Maintain manufacturing documentation, BOMs, SOPs, traceability, and quality standards Required qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field (equivalent experience considered) - Minimum 5 years supervising or managing manufacturing teams - Minimum 2 years in electronic, electrical, or electromechanical manufacturing - Experience supporting production ramp-ups, NPI programs, or manufacturing scale-up - Proven implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles (kanban, 5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis) - Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs and performance management - Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing data management (Business Central a plus) - Ability to read BOMs, ECOs, manufacturing drawings, work instructions, and quality specs Bonus experience: power electronics, energy systems, EV charging, battery systems, production testing, HiPot systems, burn-in processes, supplier quality management. Ideal profile: hands-on leader with strong production floor presence, results-driven with high ownership, excellent organizational and execution skills, strong cross-functional communication, bilingual (English/French), data-driven problem solver.
