Salary: USD 100,000 - 140,000 / annual

Astranis builds advanced satellites for high orbits, serving large enterprises, sovereign governments, and the US military. The company has five satellites on orbit, a backlog exceeding $1 billion in commercial contracts, and employs 450 engineers across a 153,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Northern California. The Production Scheduler manages and owns production schedules for designated factory areas and production phases. You will develop and maintain plans for building and testing flight hardware by gathering inputs from across the company, ensuring schedules remain current and efficient. These plans must be ambitious yet achievable, gaining stakeholder buy-in while working with leadership and production resources to execute them. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain detailed resource-loaded schedules for multiple factory workcenters processing flight hardware, R&D hardware, tooling, and test equipment - Work closely with production leadership to develop realistic but aggressive plans and with engineering program management to integrate schedules into end-to-end programmatic schedules - Derive and communicate clear targets and priorities for every piece of hardware and process, working with production managers to ensure appropriate resource allocation, schedule accuracy, and on-time delivery - Identify and report on schedule risks, their impacts, and workarounds - Perform "what if" schedule modeling and analyses to help decision-making on emergent risks - Create, maintain, and use scheduling processes and tools to identify, analyze, and act on potential constraints on a daily/weekly basis - Work with software and procurement teams to implement and maintain a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system, ensuring data accuracy - Constantly communicate schedule status and changes to key stakeholders through written reports, meetings, presentations, and automated dashboards The ideal candidate can filter complex schedules into simple targets, navigate under-constrained problems with large data sets, stay aware of many concurrent items and spot problems early, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. You should be an ultimate organizer who can juggle multiple priorities, align diverse opinions into shared goals, and drive ruthless execution and improvement. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar technical discipline, OR 2+ years of professional work in the aerospace industry - 2+ years of professional experience as a program manager, manufacturing engineer, or scheduler Bonus qualifications: - Experience with Smartsheet or MS Project scheduling software - Proficiency in SQL query writing and ability to create custom dashboards in Grafana, Tableau, or PowerBI - Experience planning and scheduling using ERP/MRP software systems - Understanding of aerospace engineering lifecycle - Understanding of spacecraft assembly, integration, and test methods Note: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status required to comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations.
