Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Production Program Manager for its Intelligence Systems (AIS) division. This role is critical to scaling high-volume, security-intensive manufacturing operations. You will serve as a builder-operator, working cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, operations, finance, and executive leadership to drive the successful manufacturing ramp of production programs.
Key responsibilities include:
**Strategic Problem Solving & Execution**: Act as an internal strike team leader to identify, analyze, and resolve complex operational, manufacturing, and business process issues that impede product maturity and scalability. Dive deep into ambiguous challenges, diagnose root causes, and drive solutions to completion.
**Process Optimization & Maturity**: Lead the transition to production readiness by focusing on process optimization, operational excellence, continuous improvement, design for manufacturability (DFM), and supply chain stability. Drive initiatives aligned with cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) objectives to enhance production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
**Budget & Cost Control**: Monitor project budgets, track progress, and ensure focus on solving the largest problems to improve the bottom line.
**Data-Driven Operations**: Develop and implement reporting systems that transparently communicate progress to internal teams and executive leadership on KPIs, OKRs, project status, risks, and mitigations.
**New Product Information (NPI)**: Serve as production's point of contact for all changes to existing products and new products in the pipeline.
**Cross-Functional Initiative Management**: Lead high-priority, cross-functional projects spanning engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and finance. Define project scope, build plans, and ensure outcomes are achieved.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related technical field; 3+ years of experience in operations program management, business operations, or engineering/technical roles (preferably in complex hardware); strong understanding of manufacturing environments and supporting processes; experience launching new products with condensed timelines; proficiency with project management methodologies (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma) and tools (Jira, Confluence, Gantt Charts); excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; strong communication and leadership abilities; and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Critically, you must currently possess and be able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include a technical background with data-driven thinking and systems understanding; a builder mindset focused on designing robust solutions; strong teamwork and humility; self-driven and proactive approach; and comfort with ambiguity. Note: Up to 50% travel is required for this role.
