Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming military capabilities through advanced technology, AI, and autonomy. The Rocket Motor Systems (RMS) team is building next-generation solid rocket motors for tactical applications.
As Production Program Manager, you will report to the Head of Production and oversee the manufacturing and production lifecycle for rocket motor systems. You will drive the transition from development and pre-production phases to full-scale production, working cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, operations, quality, program management, and leadership teams.
Key responsibilities include:
• Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness during development and pre-production phases, aligned with cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) objectives.
• Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, track progress, and identify solutions to enable successful transition to full-scale production.
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to internal teams and leadership on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Resource Management: Ensure appropriate allocation of materials, labor, and equipment to meet production readiness goals.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and roadblocks that could impact project timelines or operational readiness.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate between engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, program management, growth, quality, and leadership to align pre-production efforts with business objectives.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; 8+ years in operations program management, production, or manufacturing (preferably defense, aerospace, or complex hardware); strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain management; experience launching new products with compressed timelines; proficiency with project management methodologies (Agile, Lean, TPS, Six Sigma) and tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Gantt Charts); excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; strong communication and leadership abilities; ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments; eligibility to obtain and maintain active U.S. security clearance.
Preferred: Experience in defense, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing; familiarity with ERP, MRP, MES, or PLM systems.
