Form Energy is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead 24/7 final assembly operations at their high-volume manufacturing facility in Weirton, WV. This role oversees cell assembly, module assembly, pack assembly (thermal, tower, and general), and DCDC production lines—the critical final stages of their iron-air battery systems. You will own safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance across all shifts, managing a team of associate managers, shift supervisors, and production associates. Key responsibilities include building a safety-first culture, driving line balancing and takt attainment, ensuring standardized work and quality gates are executed consistently, and using structured problem-solving to resolve defects and test failures in partnership with quality and manufacturing engineering. You'll partner cross-functionally with supply chain, materials, manufacturing engineering, and product design teams to optimize material availability, improve manufacturability, and enhance assembly ergonomics. You'll own tier meetings, visual management, escalation protocols, and lead continuous improvement activities grounded in lean manufacturing principles. Required: 5+ years managing teams in high-volume manufacturing; 10+ years in high-volume manufacturing (ideally complex electromechanical assembly—battery packs, energy storage, automotive/EV, appliances, or power electronics); Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Technical discipline. Must have experience with multi-stage assembly operations, line balancing, takt-based production, and end-of-line testing. Lean manufacturing and structured problem-solving experience (8D, A3, DMAIC) required. Familiarity with electrical safety for energized products and power electronics preferred. Form Energy is a venture-backed climate tech company founded in 2017, headquartered in Somerville, MA. They've been recognized by TIME as a "Best Invention," MIT Technology Review as a "Top Climate Tech Company To Watch," and Fast Company as "One of the Next Big Things In Tech." The Weirton facility is a 550,000-square-foot hub for high-volume battery production. Relocation assistance is available.
