Aeris Technologies, a leading manufacturer of laser gas analyzers for environmental monitoring, industrial process control, and emissions measurement, is seeking a Production Manager to oversee all facets of production operations. As part of the Project Canary family since 2022, the company combines innovative optical sensing technology with precision manufacturing. The Production Manager will manage daily operations across optical assembly, device assembly, and final assembly and packaging departments. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing production schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime, coordinating with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure material availability, and leading a team of assembly technicians and production staff through mentoring and performance management. The role requires identifying process improvement opportunities and applying lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and streamline production flow. You will monitor quality control processes to ensure products meet company and regulatory standards, address quality issues promptly, and implement corrective actions. Reporting and analysis responsibilities include maintaining detailed records of production output, labor utilization, and material usage, and preparing comprehensive reports for senior management. Cross-functional collaboration is essential—you will work with test engineering to align production goals with product specifications and participate in new product introduction (NPI) processes, providing insights on manufacturability and production feasibility. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field - Minimum 3 years in manufacturing or production management, preferably in electronic assembly within a high-mix, low-volume environment - Strong understanding of assembly processes, production planning, and quality control standards - Proven leadership abilities with capability to motivate and cultivate a diverse team - Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills - Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, production planning software) - Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
