Aalo Atomics is pioneering factory-fabricated microreactors to deliver affordable, scalable, and reliable nuclear power. The company is scaling from prototype to volume production of the Aalo-1, a 10 MWe advanced reactor designed for global deployment.
As Production Manager, you will lead the production department through a critical growth phase. You own end-to-end production performance—safety, quality, throughput, cost, and on-time delivery. You manage a team of Production Supervisors and their technicians, and are personally accountable for shipping hardware on time, on cost, and right the first time.
Key responsibilities include: leading and developing Production Supervisors to build a scalable leadership bench; translating the master production schedule into executable plans with appropriate capacity and staffing; driving consistency of standards and performance across shifts and production lines; setting and tracking departmental metrics to identify and permanently eliminate constraints; owning the department's labor and operating budget with authority over build-vs-buy, repair-vs-replace, and capital decisions; partnering with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Design to resolve systemic issues in process, tooling, materials, and design for manufacturability; leading root cause investigations on quality escapes, safety events, and schedule misses; planning and executing production ramp including hiring, training, layout, tooling, and process readiness; championing safety culture and regulatory compliance; recruiting and managing departmental performance; and reporting status, risks, and recovery plans to senior leadership.
This role requires someone who takes total ownership of production metrics and continuously drives improvement rather than accepting current performance as optimal. You will spend your days making resourcing decisions, solving recurring problems permanently, and building the next generation of production leaders.
