As a Production Coordinator at Impulse, you will drive day-to-day factory execution for spacecraft manufacturing (Mira program). You serve as the central coordination point between Planning, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Inventory, Quality, and Engineering, ensuring hardware moves efficiently through the factory and production schedules are met.
Key responsibilities include:
**Production Execution**: Release and manage manufacturing work orders in ERP/MES systems. Coordinate handoffs between manufacturing work centers, track work order progress, identify schedule risks, and support daily production standups. Escalate production delays, bottlenecks, and resource constraints to leadership.
**Material Readiness**: Verify material availability before work order release. Coordinate material staging and kit readiness activities. Identify and communicate material shortages, partnering with Inventory, Planning, and Procurement teams to resolve issues quickly.
**Factory Flow Management**: Maintain accurate work order status throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. Coordinate movement of hardware between departments. Drive execution of manufacturing priorities established by planners and program leadership. Support recovery plans for delayed or at-risk builds.
**Systems and Data Integrity**: Maintain accurate work order data within ERP/MES systems. Ensure location tracking and status updates are completed accurately. Support item master and planning data accuracy initiatives. Participate in process improvement projects.
**Process Improvement**: Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, schedule adherence, and cycle time reduction. Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows. Support implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
You own work order execution, material readiness, shortage management, production status tracking, and escalation of blockers to maintain schedule adherence and maximize factory throughput.
