Salary: USD 70,000 - 120,000 / annual
Fortanix is seeking a Product Support Engineer to provide post-sales technical support for its data-centric cybersecurity platform serving hybrid multicloud environments. The role combines project management, technical troubleshooting, and customer interaction to help deploy, implement, upgrade, and optimize the Fortanix platform.
Key responsibilities include delivering technical support via phone, email, and web; handling and tracking support cases through resolution; performing fault isolation and root cause analysis on complex technical issues; reproducing and qualifying critical customer issues; publishing technical bulletins and documentation to the knowledge base; collaborating with Development, Sales, and QA teams to ensure positive customer outcomes; reviewing and improving user documentation and training materials; and providing on-call 24/7 support as needed.
The ideal candidate brings 5–12 years of hands-on experience in technical support organizations with strong expertise in Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, and scripting languages. Deep familiarity with HSM (Hardware Security Modules) and KMS (Key Management Services) across cloud platforms (AWS CloudHSM, AWS KMS, Google KMS, Azure KeyVault, IBM KeyProtect) is required. Understanding of HSM crypto interfaces (PKCS#11, CAPI, CNG, JCE) and KMS interfaces (KMIP, REST API) is essential. The role demands excellent collaboration, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
