Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The company develops cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology delivered via Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that provides real-time 3D command and control. The Tactical Recon & Strike team develops aerial small drones (Group 1-3) and all supporting equipment for testing, deployment, and operations. Products include Ghost, Anvil, Bolt, and Altius systems. As a Product Sourcing Engineer, you will drive strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril's product hardware across their lifecycles. You'll collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams in engineering, quality, and manufacturing. Key responsibilities include: - Conduct supplier selection leveraging approved supplier lists - Partner with strategic suppliers on concept scoping, feature trade-offs, should-cost modeling, and joint design development - Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Quality and Manufacturing teams - Manage NPI component procurement and CAPEX throughout new product introduction - Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility - Complete BOM risk assessments and alternate component sourcing - Ensure component qualifications ahead of production - Lead cost engineering activities to optimize total cost of ownership across product lifecycle - Manage ad-hoc cost issues including tariffs, import/export costs, and inflation Required: 5+ years experience in design & development of electronics/mechanical devices, advanced sourcing activities, supplier development, early supplier engagement, and value/procurement engineering. Familiarity with high-tech products in high-mix, low-volume environments and startup experience preferred. Bachelor's in engineering (BSME, BSEE) or related technical degree required; advanced degree or MBA strongly preferred. U.S. Person status required for export-controlled data access.
