Salary: USD 126,000 - 167,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomous systems and AI-powered operating systems. The Launched Effects team manufactures the ALTIUS family of systems—tube-launched, autonomous aerial platforms for ISR, Electronic Warfare, and kinetic strike capabilities. As Senior Product Quality Engineer, you will define, develop, and execute quality and reliability processes for ALTIUS product development and high-rate production. You will bridge cutting-edge R&D with manufacturing at scale, working across production, program management, deployments, sourcing, and engineering teams to ensure products meet extreme deployment requirements. Key responsibilities include: - Drive product development and production using drawing reviews, quality planning, inspection, acceptance testing, verification, validation, and process/part qualification - Champion the transition from new product introduction (NPI) to sustainable, predictable high-rate manufacturing - Own product risk elimination to improve reliability across the lifecycle - Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and Material Review Board (MRB) activities - Establish quality metrics and lead product health data analysis and improvement - Develop overall quality plans (APQP-style) for projects; leverage resources and direct reports to deliver quality through development cycles - Set expectations for qualification of internal and external manufacturing processes, including PPAP/FAI, inspection methods, and acceptance test plans - Lead transition from engineering qualification to manufacturing variance testing - Matrix lead supplier quality engineers supporting design and development with suppliers Note: This position is permanently based in Ashville, OH, and requires temporary relocation for a 3-month training program: 1 month in Santa Ana, CA, followed by approximately 2 months in Atlanta, GA. Anduril provides and covers all corporate housing, transportation, and travel accommodations during training. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar technical field - Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality on high-velocity vehicle systems - Working knowledge of design review and quality management of systems, PCBA, harnessing, avionics, systems integration, composites/control surfaces, propulsion systems, and lethality systems - Experience driving product quality and performance requirements to test and measurement system development; knowledgeable of storage and maintenance processes - Experience partnering with Reliability Engineering, chief engineers, architects, manufacturing engineering, and customer-facing teams - Working knowledge of product development methodologies: FMEA, APQP, PPAP elements (MSA), and GD&T - Working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing processes; application of industry standards and best practices - Strong ownership mindset with demonstrated capability to drive projects from start to completion - Analytical skills in data mining, data quality, metrics generation, issue management systems, and statistical analysis tools (MatLab, JMP, MiniTab, etc.) - Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Master's degree in a technical field - 6+ years of experience developing quality systems for low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing environments and suppliers; working knowledge of AS9100/AS6500/ISO 9001-based Quality Management System requirements - Experience with IPC standards and general workmanship standards - Experience with government contracts and MIL standard requirements for aerial vehicles; experience with Teamcenter, SolidWorks/NX, Jira, Foundry, and manufacturing execution systems
