Sphera, a Blackstone portfolio company and global leader in enterprise software for environmental, health, safety, and sustainability management, is seeking a Product Owner to lead the evolution of its Chemical Management (CM) platform.
In this role, you will serve as the bridge between Product Management, Regulatory, Professional Services, and Development teams. You will translate customer and business needs into clear product priorities and actionable requirements, working collaboratively across functions to deliver solutions that create measurable customer value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the Chemical Management product backlog, prioritizing features and initiatives
- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements from stakeholders
- Create user stories, product specifications, and detailed acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with Product Management, Regulatory, Professional Services, and Development teams to define and refine priorities
- Partner with engineering teams on solution design, feasibility assessments, and architectural discussions
- Review and validate delivered functionality, providing acceptance feedback and sign-off
- Support product roadmap planning and drive continuous product improvements
- Contribute to strategic modernization and product re-architecture initiatives

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst within a B2B software environment
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and software architecture concepts
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proven ability to translate complex business needs into actionable product requirements
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering value
Nice to Have:
- Experience with enterprise or on-premises software solutions
- Experience supporting software modernization or re-architecture programs
- Exposure to regulated, compliance-driven, or governance-focused applications
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance workflows and environments
- Experience using AI tools to support research, analysis, and documentation
