As Product Operations Manager, you'll own the operational backbone of the product team's execution. The product team launches new trades, features, and fixes constantly—sometimes a dozen projects in flight simultaneously—but currently lacks a single owner ensuring launches are properly verified, communicated, and tracked.
You'll sit between engineering and all customer-facing teams (sales, customer success, marketing), serving as the source of truth for what's actually shipped and working. Your core responsibilities include:
- Maintain Linear as the single source of truth: every ticket has accurate status, nothing goes stale or slips past target dates
- Independently verify that bugs marked "fixed" are genuinely resolved before closure or customer communication
- Write and distribute launch communications for every release—clear, specific, jargon-free—to customers and internal teams
- Build and operate a standardized launch checklist ensuring marketing and CS are looped in before releases, not briefed after
- Coordinate directly with platform engineers on active projects, staying embedded in tickets rather than waiting for summaries
- Flag risks and slippage early within the product team's existing weekly cadence
- Act as the first point of contact when customers report issues that engineers claim are resolved
You'll need 2–5 years in a role combining technical coordination with customer-facing communication (Implementation, CS Ops, QA, or release coordination). Daily fluency in Linear or Jira is required. You must write clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences, push back diplomatically on engineering claims, and genuinely enjoy verification and follow-through. Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco.
