Salary: USD 305,000 - 385,000 / annual
Anthropic is seeking a Product Manager to own the Safe Access product, a critical infrastructure for identity, verification, and access management across all Claude surfaces. This role sits on the critical path of every model launch and access program at Anthropic.
You will own the end-to-end product experience and strategy for internal and external access across every surface where Claude is deployed. The primitives you'll manage—access programs, accounts, organization linking, verifications, user APIs for platforms, and internal tooling—are the building blocks that every team at Anthropic uses to manage access to models and capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the product strategy and roadmap for account and access primitives, enabling any team at Anthropic to provision access or run an access program with minimal support
- Designing the end-to-end experience for internal stakeholders (research, model launches, safeguards, go-to-market) and external customers and partners, maintaining consistency across all surfaces
- Supporting API designs and UX for access APIs that platforms, resellers, and internal services integrate with
- Partnering with trusted access and verification product managers to ensure new programs compose from shared primitives
- Coordinating across product, safeguards, legal, and go-to-market teams to drive alignment when requirements conflict
This is a 0-1 product space requiring strong execution and agility. You will frequently be the person defining the problem rather than receiving it, navigating high ambiguity and cross-team dependencies.

Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, all staff are expected to be in one of Anthropic's offices at least 25% of the time, though some roles may require more time in office. Visa sponsorship is available.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualifications:
- Strong executor with a track record of shipping through ambiguity and cross-organization dependencies
- Ability to write clearly so that engineers, executives, and external partners can each understand the tradeoffs being made
- End-to-end ownership of a developer platform, identity, authorization, or access-management product, with accountability for outcomes (typically 5+ years as a PM, but ownership matters more than years)
- Commitment to Anthropic's mission and specifically to scaling access to Claude safely
Preferred qualifications:
- 8+ years of product management experience
- Experience with multi-tenant platforms consumed by first-party apps, direct API customers, and third parties
- Built account, identity, or subscription systems spanning multiple products
- Taken a product from zero to one where users, product, and requirements had to be worked out simultaneously
Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in a field relevant to the role.
