Abnormal AI is seeking a Product Manager (Outbound) to architect and own field motion for new product launches from the ground up. This is a senior individual contributor role sitting between R&D and field execution, responsible for validating new products with customers before they have established playbooks, messaging, or competitive positioning.
You will own the complete field motion for assigned product launches: designing how products get demoed, structuring proof-of-value engagements, and determining what the field needs to run the motion at scale. You'll work hands-on with customer discovery, deep dives, and POVs to validate your approach. You'll test and refine messaging hypotheses in live deals alongside Sales Engineers, diagnose competitive loss reasons, and brief Product Management with pattern analysis that distinguishes product gaps from positioning or sales-motion problems.
You'll partner closely with Product Marketing as a standing collaborator, stress-testing messaging in live deals and reporting what resonates versus what needs refinement. At General Availability, you'll own the handoff: documenting what worked, what broke, and what the field needs to run independently—then move to the next product launch and repeat.
This role is positioned as a career inflection point with real organizational weight. You'll work on the company's biggest bets for growth, shaping market motion before competitors have figured it out. If you come from product management, you'll build GTM fluency that traditional PM roles don't provide. If you come from solutions engineering, technical credibility becomes strategic ownership.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years in Product Management or Solutions/Sales Engineering in enterprise security
- Demonstrated ability to independently synthesize unfamiliar products quickly—given a new product and limited context, identify what matters, form a hypothesis, and start building field motion
- Experience working in pre-launch or early-stage product environments before a playbook existed, with a specific program, motion, or deliverable built from scratch to show for it
- Credibility that speaks through work and presence; instinct to move toward problems before they're assigned
- Strong written and verbal communication; credible in front of technical buyers and security teams, equally comfortable in live customer conversations and internal roadmap reviews
- High operational excellence and ownership: ability to take field observations from raw signal to documented recommendations that PM or GTM teams act on
- Strong analytical skills; capacity to reason through ambiguous problems and move to working hypotheses without waiting for the full picture
NICE TO HAVE:
- Prior involvement in new product launches, design partnerships, early-access, and/or beta programs
- Experience running or presenting in structured cross-functional forums (POV reviews, launch/GTM syncs)
- Familiarity with enterprise security platforms such as CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Zscaler, Wiz, Microsoft, or similar
- Comfort using AI tools to synthesize patterns across large sets of qualitative input (support tickets, call transcripts, win/loss notes)
- Prior startup experience
