Jerry.ai is a profitable, Series C, YC-backed fintech startup with 5M+ customers and $240M in funding. The company is building an AI-powered advisor to manage physical assets, starting with car insurance (a $300B market in the U.S.) and expanding into home, motorcycle, RV, and other verticals. The company has achieved significant scale: 60% of policies are sold automatically without human intervention, 90% of inbound customer inquiries are resolved via AI and automation, and the company has been profitable since 2024. The ambitious goal is to grow from 5M to 50M customers by 2030.
The Growth team owns the entire customer sign-up and purchase funnel for the car insurance marketplace and drives how millions of people discover, evaluate, and become Jerry customers. As Product Manager for Growth, you will take end-to-end ownership of high-impact funnels that directly move the needle on the company's north star goal. This role sits at the heart of the business and is not a "growth hacking" role that prioritizes revenue at the cost of customer experience and trust. Instead, you will build a durable growth engine by creating a magical customer experience and providing unreasonable hospitality.
You will investigate and understand customer needs across different personas, navigate complex backend systems, and translate that complexity into clear, trustworthy, and elegant user experiences. You will report to the VP of Growth and partner closely with Engineering, Design, Analytics, Marketing, and Leadership, including the CEO.
Key responsibilities include: owning landing pages, signup funnels, and app download pages; simplifying complex user flows (insurance shopping requires significant data inputs); personalizing experiences by user persona and marketing channel; building trust through delightful and helpful communication, copy, and UI; owning quote shopping and improving the display of complex information without cognitive overload; integrating different insurance carriers into simple user experiences; and integrating other products (roadside assistance, home insurance, property tax appeals, motorcycle insurance) into the car insurance shopping funnel.
The environment is fast-paced: the company runs weekly sprints and launches products in 1-2 months that take 6-12 months elsewhere. The Growth team is small (3 Product Managers total) with huge surface area, requiring scrappiness but offering significant scope and ownership. You will have direct exposure to the VP of Growth, c-suite visibility, and involvement in product strategy and roadmap decisions from Day One. Note: the engineering team is partly based overseas, so occasional overlap with their business hours may be required.
The company is remote-first but also has offices in Palo Alto, New York City, Chicago, and Toronto for those who prefer in-person or hybrid work.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience in product management (ideally consumer-facing products)
- Strong analytical skills; ability to pull, structure, and interpret data independently
- Track record of owning ambiguous problems and delivering impact
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize messy signals into clear recommendations
- Willingness to maintain regular daily overlap with global business hours for engineering coordination
- First principles thinking: comfortable breaking ambiguous problems into clear hypotheses before reaching for solutions
- Diligence: impeccable follow-through; nothing falls through the cracks when you own something
- Customer-centric mindset: find customer feedback intrinsically interesting and care deeply about understanding what drives how they think, feel, and behave
- Strong cross-functional communication: ability to work effectively across engineering, design, analytics, and marketing, including across time zones
