You will own end-to-end expansion of Alpaca's brokerage platform across Saudi Arabia and the GCC region. This is a strategic and execution-focused role where you will define product strategy, ship brokerage products, and work with regulators, partners, and internal teams to establish Alpaca as the platform of choice across the Kingdom and wider Gulf markets.
You will manage a portfolio of existing and new products tailored for Saudi and GCC markets, including equities, Sukuk, ETFs, derivatives, and Sharia-compliant solutions. Key responsibilities include:
- Scaling from initial Saudi market access to full product coverage while meeting CMA and Tadawul requirements
- Prioritizing and delivering the next wave of brokerage capabilities across asset classes and regional market needs
- Defining and launching derivative product offerings compliant with local market structure and regulation
- Building direct connectivity to Tadawul and regional infrastructure
- Evaluating, onboarding, and integrating local broker partners
- Growing the securities lending product line for the Kingdom
- Replicating and adapting the Saudi playbook for UAE markets with local regulatory alignment
- Owning product strategy and delivery for Sharia-compliant Islamic finance offerings across regional and global surfaces
- Engaging with CMA, Tadawul, Edaa, and other regional regulators to drive product strategy and ensure compliance
- Writing product requirements and collaborating with engineers to execute programs meeting local standards
- Leading customer calls to gather insights and translate them into product improvements
- Reporting on product status and results to internal and external stakeholders
You will work with a dynamic, globally distributed team of 400+ members spanning the USA, Canada, Japan, Hungary, Nigeria, Brazil, the UK, and beyond.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, Consulting, and/or startup founding, preferably within financial services or fintech
- Demonstrated interest and experience in brokerage, capital markets, or fintech within the Saudi or GCC region
- Strong understanding of the CMA regulatory framework, Tadawul market structure, and GCC capital markets landscape
- Fluent in both Arabic and English (written and verbal) with excellent collaboration abilities
- Business acumen to understand tradeoffs between stakeholders, technology feasibility, and time/budget constraints
**Nice-to-Haves:**
- Experience developing brokerage products in Saudi or GCC markets
- Technical background with APIs, particularly in financial services or trading platforms
- CME-1 or other CMA-recognized professional certifications
- Experience with Qualified Foreign Investor (QFI) programs or cross-border investment products
- Familiarity with Sharia-compliant product structures and Islamic finance principles
- Experience at a fintech, startup, or CMA-authorized institution
