Salary: USD 200,000 - 240,000 / annual
Airbnb is seeking a Product Manager for its API platform serving hosts and developers. This role combines product management and product marketing responsibilities, focusing on building and improving the API platform while driving adoption among partners.
You will own the complete product lifecycle for API platform features, from concept through launch and beyond. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the API platform; synthesizing partner feedback and translating it into product features; creating public-facing and developer-focused messaging and narratives; aligning product teams and cross-functional partners; and developing strategic partnerships with a focus on supply and demand dynamics.
You will work closely with engineering teams to deliver platform improvements and partner with account managers to scale adoption among existing and new partners. The role requires balancing individual contributor work with cross-functional leadership, staying hands-on in the details while driving execution across teams in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for making prioritization decisions in the best interests of users, using data and business analysis to support product strategy, and building compelling customer-focused stories with marketing and communications partners.
The position is US-remote eligible with occasional office work or offsites as agreed with your manager. You must be able to work Pacific Time Zone hours as needed and live in a state where Airbnb has a registered entity. Frequent domestic and international travel is expected.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of product management and/or product marketing experience
- 3+ years of product management experience designing and building developer platforms
- Demonstrated passion for improving developer productivity, product quality, and automating/optimizing developer workflows
- Demonstrated empathy for developer pain points and track record of building products for developers
- Experience building strategic relationships with partner executives, senior management, and technical staff
- Experience creating product messaging and delivering to customers and media
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise and inbound credibility
- Ability to build compelling customer-focused stories and work with marketing partners
- Demonstrated track record of product leadership in cross-functional environments
- Entrepreneurial track record of taking ideas to reality and leading teams through dynamic environments
- Strong ability to use data and perform business analysis to support product strategy
- Ability to drive execution across teams in fast-paced environments
- Comfort with individual contributor product management work and staying in details
- Willingness to travel frequently, including domestic and international
