Rippling is a unified platform for HR, IT, and Finance that brings together workforce systems normally scattered across companies—payroll, expenses, benefits, computers, and more. The company has raised $1.85B+ from top-tier investors and is headquartered in San Francisco.
You will lead the Finance Experience team, a new cross-functional group owning shared experiences across Rippling's finance suite: forms, permissions, policies, notifications, and APIs. Your mission is to identify common solutions to customer problems and build a consistent, world-class admin and employee-facing UX across the finance product line.
Key responsibilities:
- Define vision and roadmap for the Finance Experience team, responsible for shared products across the finance suite
- Own the admin configuration experience as Rippling moves upmarket, ensuring seamless configuration of dynamic policies, workflows, reports, forms, and permissions
- Own employee-facing experiences for custom forms, approvals, notifications, and tasks to build a consumer-grade product
- Partner with platform teams to ensure the Rippling platform evolves compatibly with finance user needs
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to launch polished, high-impact features
- Build for Rippling's largest and most complex customers, generalizing learnings into products serving thousands
- Make thoughtful prioritization decisions across customer commitments, platform reliability, and strategic AI investments
You will work with a dedicated engineering team and closely collaborate across all finance suite teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years of product management experience, ideally with exposure to finance or spend management systems, enterprise software, no-code automation tools, or B2B SaaS
- Systems thinking: ability to find common denominators across 5+ finance products and design solutions that work across the suite
- AI-pilled: understand how AI changes work for yourself, your team, and customers; fold AI into products and leverage it for efficiency
- Technical judgment: understand data models, identify design failures, partner with engineering to build reliable, scalable, trustworthy products
- Customer empathy and judgment: find root causes of customer issues, understand underlying flexibility needs, build products customers love
- Ability to operate in ambiguity, make tradeoffs, and drive alignment across engineering, design, support, implementation, and GTM teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication: convince product and engineering leaders to adopt your products; distill customer needs into technical arguments
- Bias for ownership and follow-through: own whether workflows work in production, not just ship features
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience as a product manager on a platform team balancing needs of multiple downstream product teams
- Experience building products for enterprise or multi-entity customers
- Software engineering background (not required but helpful for technical thinking)
- Experience building AI-assisted or automated operational workflows
