Wayve is building an AI platform for autonomous driving that learns directly from real-world experience. This role is a Product Feature Owner for Parking functionalities, sitting within the Product & Delivery team that translates Wayve's AI Driver technology into scalable vehicle capabilities for global OEM partners.
You will take end-to-end ownership of specific Parking features, working at the intersection of customer needs, product strategy, and engineering delivery. Your responsibilities include:
- Act as the accountable product owner for Parking features, ensuring delivery on time, to specification, and aligned with customer and business needs.
- Partner closely with OEM customers to understand requirements, represent their needs internally, and align expectations without compromising product strategy.
- Work with feature group owners and engineering teams to define scope, specifications, performance targets, and delivery plans.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, perception, platform, safety, and supplier teams to shape the Parking sensor and compute architecture.
- Drive integration and issue resolution across the Parking sensor stack, including ultrasonic sensors (USS) and surround-view cameras (SVCs).
- Provide early feedback throughout feature development, participate in testing, and support evaluation and validation activities.
- Identify risks early, manage trade-offs, and keep teams aligned as priorities and technology evolve.
Specific features you'll own include Park Distance Control, Rear-AEB, Auto-Park Assist, Remote Park Assist, and Memory Parking. You'll define and evolve feature specifications in partnership with OEMs and engineering teams, translate sensor and compute constraints into clear scope and performance targets, lead integration across the Parking sensor stack, harmonize customer requirements across OEM partners, set performance targets, support testing and validation, maintain the strategic feature roadmap, participate in agile planning, and ensure alignment with automotive quality, safety, and compliance expectations.
Wayve operates a hybrid model combining in-person collaboration in the Germany office with focused remote work. The company is building mapless, hardware-agnostic AI technology that integrates with global OEM partners and enables continuous software evolution from L2+ through L4 autonomy levels.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong experience specifying and delivering Parking features from concept through production, particularly Park Distance Control, Rear-AEB, Auto-Park Assist, Remote Park Assist, or Memory Parking.
- Understanding of automotive development processes, including requirements management, the V-model, ASPICE, quality, and validation.
- Confidence working directly with OEM customers: understanding needs, negotiating requirements, and representing their perspective internally while maintaining clarity on product strategy.
- Sufficient technical depth to engage credibly with engineering teams on Parking feature trade-offs, feasibility, testing, evaluation, and validation.
- Experience defining and integrating automotive Parking sensor systems, including USS and SVCs, with practical knowledge of interfaces, calibration, diagnostics, supplier management, and sensor-specific integration and performance issues.
- Track record delivering ADAS or Parking features on resource-constrained automotive SoCs, with practical understanding of how compute, memory, bandwidth, latency, and thermal budgets shape system architecture, feature behavior, performance, and customer experience.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to bridge technical and commercial perspectives across customers, product, systems, hardware, perception, platform, safety, and engineering teams.
- Proactive identification of risks and issues before escalation, balancing immediate delivery needs with longer-term product roadmap.
VALUABLE ADDITIONS:
- Experience shipping complete Parking features into large-scale automotive production programs.
- Knowledge of automotive quality, safety, and compliance standards (ASPICE, SOTIF, functional safety, NCAP, UNECE, GSR-II, DCAS).
- Experience with AI/ML, LLMs, or recent generative-AI methods and architectures.
- Curiosity and forward-looking approach to developing new Parking capabilities.
