Wayve is building an AI platform for autonomous driving that learns directly from real-world experience. This role is a Product Feature Owner for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), based in Leonberg, Germany, working on a hybrid basis.
You will take end-to-end ownership of specific Collision Avoidance and Lane Keeping ADAS functionalities, acting as the accountable product owner responsible for on-time delivery to specification and alignment with customer and business needs. You will partner closely with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) customers to understand requirements, represent their needs internally, and align expectations without compromising Wayve's product strategy.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Serving as the central point of coordination between OEMs, product, and engineering teams, creating clarity and resolving ambiguity
- Working with feature group owners and engineering teams to define scope, specifications, performance targets, and delivery plans
- Owning the end-to-end lifecycle of ADAS features including Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Evasive Steering Assist (ESA), Automatic Emergency Steering (AES), and Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM)
- Defining and evolving feature specifications in partnership with OEMs, engineering, and product teams
- Harmonizing customer requirements across OEM partners to maximize reusable assets and scalability
- Setting clear performance targets and ensuring features meet customer requirements and agreed delivery specifications
- Supporting testing, evaluation, and validation to ensure feature quality and production readiness
- Maintaining and evolving the strategic feature roadmap as technology advances toward higher autonomy levels
- Participating in agile planning and delivery rituals, managing dependencies, risks, and priorities
- Ensuring feature delivery aligns with automotive quality, safety, and compliance expectations
- Identifying risks early and managing trade-offs as requirements and priorities evolve
You will work at the intersection of customer needs, product strategy, and engineering delivery, directly shaping how Wayve's technology performs for customers and drivers.
Wayve operates a hybrid model combining in-person collaboration in dedicated office spaces and workshops with focused remote work time. The company is not a mature, fully-structured organization; much of how it works is still being written, and you will help shape it.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong experience specifying and delivering ADAS features from concept through production, particularly across Collision Avoidance or Lane Keeping functions (AEB, LKA, ESA, AES, BSM)
- Understanding of automotive development processes, including requirements management, the V-model, ASPICE, quality, and validation
- Confidence working directly with OEM customers: understanding needs, negotiating requirements, and representing their perspective internally while maintaining Wayve's product strategy
- Sufficient technical depth to engage credibly with engineering teams on feature trade-offs, feasibility, testing, evaluation, and validation
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills bridging technical and commercial perspectives
- Proactive risk identification and issue management, balancing immediate delivery with longer-term roadmap
- Comfort in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with ability to bring structure and clarity
VALUABLE ADDITIONS:
- Experience shipping complete ADAS features into large-scale automotive production programs
- Knowledge of automotive quality, safety, and compliance standards (ASPICE, SOTIF, functional safety, GSR-II, DCAS)
- Experience with machine learning, LLMs, or recent generative-AI methods and architectures
- Curiosity and forward-looking approach to developing new ADAS capabilities
