Conduct is building an AI operating system designed to absorb IT complexity for the world's largest enterprises, enabling new levels of speed and operational capability. The company recently closed a $50M+ Series A and is still early enough that individual contributions directly shape the company's direction.
As a Product Engineer, you will own the complete lifecycle of features and systems from inception through shipped product: requirements gathering, research, conceptualization, experimentation, implementation, and iteration. You'll engage directly with customers, influence product direction, and ship systems that matter to some of the world's largest companies. The scope of your work—whether deep backend, forward-facing, or genuinely full-stack—will depend on where you spike, but accountability for shipped outcomes remains constant.
Conduct values extreme ownership, high velocity, and low-ego collaboration. The team is small and talent-dense, focused on relentless shipping to customers.
Tech Stack: React and Vite on the frontend; Kotlin backend paired with the Java ecosystem for speed and maturity; Temporal and PortKey for durable execution and enterprise LLM routing; a specialized LLM harness built from production experience to balance agent intelligence with enterprise governance and reliability.
Qualifications & What You'll Stand Out For:
- Evidence of shipping agentic systems (side projects count)
- Native building with AI, not as an afterthought
- Strong, pragmatic engineering instincts and sharp product instincts
- Deep curiosity about how AI systems behave, fail, and improve
- Generalist capability to operate across the stack when needed
- Experience level matters less than the quality of your thinking and what you've shipped
- Fundamentals are prioritized over familiarity with specific tools; strong engineers pick up new tech quickly
